How to cancel The Guardian

Cancel directly with The Guardian. Stopping your card payment does not end the contract, so you could still owe money.

Open The Guardian's cancel page

Steps

  1. Log in to Manage My Account on the Guardian website
  2. Under your account overview, select Manage subscription/contribution/membership
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the cancellation instructions
  4. Print and Guardian Weekly subscriptions cannot be cancelled online in the UK, so contact customer service by email or on +44 (0) 330 333 6767
  5. If you subscribed through Apple or Google, cancel with them instead

If you signed up in an app, cancel in that store instead: Apple or Google Play.

Before you finish

  • Check your next billing date, so you cancel in time.
  • Keep the cancellation confirmation until after that date.
  • Save or export anything you want to keep from your account.
