Find subscriptions in Gmail and Outlook
Your inbox is the best record of what you pay for, because nearly every subscription emails a receipt. The right search finds them in minutes, and a forwarding rule keeps new ones coming.

Search Gmail for subscriptions
Paste this into the Gmail search box to see receipts from the past 13 months:
subject:(receipt OR invoice OR subscription OR renewal) newer_than:13mSearch Outlook for subscriptions
Outlook does not use the same search words. Search for these one at a time, then use the date filter to limit each search to the past year:
- receipt
- invoice
- renewal
- subscription
Forward new receipts from Gmail
- On a computer, open Gmail, then Settings, See all settings, Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
- Choose Add a forwarding address and enter your tracker's address. Gmail sends that address a confirmation, which has to be approved before forwarding works.
- Open Filters and Blocked Addresses, then Create a new filter.
- In Has the words, paste subject:(receipt OR invoice OR subscription OR renewal), then choose Create filter.
- Tick Forward it to, choose the address, then Create filter.
Things to watch for
- Check your Junk folder. Some receipts land there, and connected tools often skip it.
- Search every email address you have used for sign-ups, not only your main one.
- Past mail is not forwarded by a filter. Forward older receipts by hand, or upload a statement to fill the gap.
How Subscriptrack works with each inbox
Every account gets a private forwarding address that works with any email provider, including Gmail. Subscriptrack shows the Gmail confirmation for you, so you can finish setting up without leaving the page.
Outlook and Microsoft 365 connect in one click. Subscriptrack then looks for messages that look like receipts, invoices or subscription notices. Other mail is skipped and never stored.
See everything you pay for
Subscriptrack reads your receipts and builds one list of your subscriptions, with renewal reminders and no bank login.
Questions
- Can Subscriptrack connect to Gmail directly?
- Not yet. For now, Gmail works by forwarding, which takes a few minutes to set up. Outlook and Microsoft 365 connect in one click.
- Will it read my personal email?
- With forwarding, it only sees what you forward. With a connected Outlook inbox, it reads only messages that look like receipts, invoices or subscription notices. Other mail is skipped and never stored.
- Can I use more than one email address?
- Yes. Set up forwarding from each address to your private Subscriptrack address.
